Healthy sandwich by Michelle Obama!


First Lady Michelle Obama started a project to motivate parents to give healthy meals to their kids and is helping them with great ideas like the sandwich below, super easy, fast, delicious and healthy!!

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lettuce leaves
- 1 chicken breast shredded
- Shredded mozzarella light cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1 tomato
- Pitta bread (I suggest whole wheat or oat wrap bread)

How to Prepare

1. Combine the ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well. Add lettuce and tomato
2. Heat ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Toast the bread too.
3. Arrange chicken mixture in center of each pita bread!
4. Enjoy !!! ;)

What you should know about Green Tea

Made from the plant camellia sinensis, the famous green tea is rich in amino acids, vitamin B, C, E, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium and Iron! It's also rich in flavonoids which improve blood circulation. It has a positive influence on the treatment of inflammation and tumors, prevents hypoglycemia and clogged arteries.

As most of you know it helps with weight loss.The flavonoids present in green tea have the ability to act on the sympathetic nervous system, which regulates fat burning. Thus the beverage increases the burning of calories, prevents the deposit of fat in the body and regulates body weight

According to research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, green tea has the power to increase by 4% the burning of body fat in individuals who ingest the amount stipulated by the American Dietetic Association (ADA): 4-7 cups daily

However, people with heart disease, hypertention and pregnant woman should not consume green tea. The beverage has a high concentration of theophylline which is a potent vasoconstrictor, and may promote an increase in blood pressure.


The best way to prepare herbal tea is in the ratio of 1 gram of leaves for every 100 ml of water. Prepare an infusion for five minutes at a high temperature, around 80 ° C. To enjoy all the beneficial properties, it is recommended to drink it, at most, 15 minutes after preparation
In my opinion 7 cups of anything except water is too much per day, so drink moderately!

7 ways of contamination through food or beverages that you should be aware of when travelling!


Hey everyone!

I know that when we travel we love tasting different foods of the country, just be careful with some details so you don't get contaminated and you enjoy great holidays or a fruitful business trip especially in countries with poor hygiene!

Careful with tap water:  it's one of the leading causes of death worldwide!! Common diseases are diarrhea, rotavirus, and cholera especially in countries where hygiene is not a priority. Buy bottled water and always wash from outside any can of juice, soft drinks, beer that you may have. Also don't brush your teeth with tap water.

 Ice: because the water might be contaminated, consuming ice is also not a good idea, unless it's from bottle water or boiled water

 When you eat in the streets or in buffets and the food is not covered, there's a risk that flies deliver bacteria from other places they flew to before or even put their feces in the food, so it's better to eat in places where food is covered if you see that there are lots of flies in this place

 wash your hands and make sure that the person preparing your food has his hands clean to prevent you from many diseases

 Order hot meals to avoid bacterial contamination thru cold meals

 Be careful to eat food exposed to the sun, like shrimps at the beach of Rio de Janeiro for example! Any food in the streets or beach should be avoided especially in hot weather because bacteria multiply fast in such climate

 Avoid raw foods even fruits and vegetables that might have been washed with contaminated water. Always boil, remove the skin and cook in such situations where water is not clean.

Goat cheese and watermelon salad! Delicious and light!


Enjoy this refreshing and easy to prepare afternoon snack!

500g watermelon
40g goat cheese
10 mint leaves
6 black olives sliced
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

Cut the watermelon in cubes and put in the plate. Add the cheese on top, as well as the olives, the mint leaves and the olive oil! That simple! Enjoy!!
