What you should know about Green Tea

Made from the plant camellia sinensis, the famous green tea is rich in amino acids, vitamin B, C, E, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium and Iron! It's also rich in flavonoids which improve blood circulation. It has a positive influence on the treatment of inflammation and tumors, prevents hypoglycemia and clogged arteries.

As most of you know it helps with weight loss.The flavonoids present in green tea have the ability to act on the sympathetic nervous system, which regulates fat burning. Thus the beverage increases the burning of calories, prevents the deposit of fat in the body and regulates body weight

According to research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, green tea has the power to increase by 4% the burning of body fat in individuals who ingest the amount stipulated by the American Dietetic Association (ADA): 4-7 cups daily

However, people with heart disease, hypertention and pregnant woman should not consume green tea. The beverage has a high concentration of theophylline which is a potent vasoconstrictor, and may promote an increase in blood pressure.


The best way to prepare herbal tea is in the ratio of 1 gram of leaves for every 100 ml of water. Prepare an infusion for five minutes at a high temperature, around 80 ° C. To enjoy all the beneficial properties, it is recommended to drink it, at most, 15 minutes after preparation
In my opinion 7 cups of anything except water is too much per day, so drink moderately!
